Lets face it- kids are the most amazing creatures on this planet. Don't you agree?? They wow us a million times per day. And...no matter how fabulous they are- the truth is... they are constantly changing. I simply cannot tell you just how many times my clients send me notes after their newborn session is complete. These notes almost always say something along the lines of ... "Wow- I am so thrilled to have had you photograph "Jane's" newborn shots, she has already changed so much!" Don't wait another moment! When you see that your child is changing, please call and set up an appointment. It is a wonderful thing to document your childs life with beautiful pictures as frequently as possible. I cannot believe it is the last day of February today! Wow- I have had such an incredible and busy month that the time seriously just vanished. Each month I try to show some of my work which gets recognized at the various online photo sites which I participate in on my Blog. Better on the last day than never! ha!!

My overall participation was down a bit this month because I was pressed for time... but I always look forward to the free time I get to spend at these sites. The members are wonderful to interact with and learn from. Viewing loads of talented artists work is quite inpsirational as well. Each site I am a member of sort of has their own "style" so it is nice to belong to more than one. Stylists now Available, Metro Detroit Wedding & Model Photographer

Would you like to have someone available to assist with you with your hairstyle and/or makeup application prior to our photoshoot? If you answered yes to that question- than I have some great news for you! Now, for the cost of just a print or two, just "let me know" if you want this and it will be taken care of for you.

Yep, it is true... I finally have decided to call stylists to my shoots for those clients who desire their services. For brides, models and even high school Junior/Seniors who are intrested in having someone else take care of the styling on the day of our photoshoot, I will now contact someone for you. I am working with several stylists who do amazing work and will be able to take care of all the booking details for you.

My goal is to make it as easy for you as possible... your job is to relax and have fun- my job is to make you look beautiful. You will love the results!!!
Besides... ladies... when you FEEL beautiful, your expressions are so much more confident and that results in amazing images. Plus, lets admit it... it is lots of fun to be pampered. HA! The makeup artists and hair stylists I recommend are qualified professionals who are able to accommodate loads of requests. They work their magic in about 45 minutes. Whether it be a natural, glamorous, dramatic or flat out crazy concept, my contacts can do it. They seriously know how to bring out the best in you. :)

I just wanted to take a moment and let you all know that another image of mine is being displayed on an electronic billboard in Times Square, New York, today. A picture I took of my nephew over a year ago is being shown by Kodak. Check it out below:

My New Website is up and running!!!

February really snuck up fast on me this year! wow! After many hours... days... weeks of work and completing projects- my new web site is finally up and running. Yay :)

So, a ton of people asked me WHY I needed to change it in the first place. My answer to that is: I really wanted a place where I could display images a lot larger than my old site allowed. With the new site, so much more detail can be observed- especially in the client proofing area. In addition, I wanted a distinct area for my wedding photography. A place JUST for brides, grooms and wedding details. I do have a few photo galleries still to add and some final touch ups to take care of still... but for now it is up and running just fine.

Other News: My wedding site now has a list of preferred vendors! If you are planning a wedding, please consider contacting them! WONDERFUL people and high quality products all around.

Over the next month or two, be sure to look for my photographs on their web sites, advertising or even hanging up in their shops!

Fabulous Frames

Don't ya just LOVE them??? There is nothing like putting up a favorite image on a wall and having look just perfect.

I want to let all my Blog readers, fellow photographers and photography clients know about a fabulous place to purchase frames. I just received my first one from this wonderful company today and am just in love with it. The frame is heavy duty, high quality, rustic and unique- handmade in the USA. They offer gorgeous vintage and artsy designs in all sorts of colors as well. The company is a husband and wife based team that is located in California.

Melanie is in New York Again

Hello everyone.

Just wanted to share really quick that an image I took of my niece last year is being displayed in Times Square, New York today. She gets a kick out of it for sure... tells her teacher and all the kids in her class. :)

Today I have a picture of my niece, Melanie, being displayed in Times Square New York as Kodak's Photo of the Day!

Another image of her is the Photo of the Day at Digital Image Cafe today. It has been awhile since the two of us have really worked together and I really have been itching to try some new stuff with her. She will always be my favorite model. Here is the image below:

Right before I went on vacation, this image was also recognized as POTD at Digital Image Cafe: AND.... A few days ago one of my pictures which was recognized as a POTD there made it to third place for the month.

Three of my images have also been recognized at BetterPhoto.com as Finalists for the month of December...

ScrapinWillie's has recently made the below image a Winner this month- I took this in Reno.
