This past weekend I was fortunate to spend lots of time with my nephew, Dylan. The pictures above were taken at Maybury State Park. We visited this location so that he could stop by the barn to see the animals and go on a little hike where he collected many different types of Fall Leaves.
He is not usually thrilled about being in front of the camera- but he tolerated me on this particular day... for a whole ten minutes, LOL! ;)
He also enjoys taking pictures himself! For the past two years he has been tagging along at least 1-2 times per month on shoots with me. His favorite picture subjects are animals.
I promised to post a few pics of him on my blog. Enjoy the above pics- My favorite season and my favorite little boy.
Below are a handful of some of my images which received recognition during the past few weeks at various compeitive photography sites. From Photo of the Day, Finalists, Winners, etc... I was thrilled to see each one acknowledged. A few of the below images were even recognized at more than one site.
The good thing about belonging to many photo sites is that different styles are appreciated at each of sites. There is an abundance of talented artists who interact with one another regularly on all of them. Learning and inspiration is inevitable.
I am pleased to introduce baby Chelsea! Awww.... isn't she just a little cutie? LOL. Every once in awhile I just get an absolute kick out of a baby's pose or expression. Don't we all wish we were this flexible?! This picture puts a big smile on my face and I am happy to know others enjoy it, too. It received a Photo of the Day award at Digital Image Cafe yesterday.

My above image, "Comfortable Company," received second place at Digital Image Cafe in the People category for the month of August.

During the next month I have a handful of sessions booked with local models and plan on revamping the Senior/Model gallery on my website. Weather permitting- we have lots of fun ideas! Stay tuned....
As some of you may know I am active in a handful of internationally competive photography sites. Senior Photo Sessions
Isn't it hard to believe that it is already the end of July?! Wow. Well, at least for me, the days of summer have been flying by. School will be starting up again before we know it!
Now is the perfect time to book a session for your senior photos. Plus- the senior session is on "special" for the remainder of the months of July and August!!! (see right column of this blog!)
With all grad sessions, a Yearbook image file is provided for you via cd within 2 days of your session at no additional cost and can easily be submitted to your school in place of an image taken by the studio who prints the yearbook.
Using jenniferalderphotography for your senior pictures results in quality, unique, fine edited images that you will cherish for a lifetime. I offer traditional images, artistically enhanced photos or a mix of the two! Bring along a friend, pet, favorite instrument or sporting good to show off your personality.
